Y O U ' R E I N V I T E D // On Sunday night, we join with TGC East Village, Upper Westside and Tribeca Parishes to celebrate the birth of our Savior!

At 6.30pm, on the steps of St. Paul’s, you'll be welcomed by a brass band and hot cider as we kick off the evening with our tradition of singing carols together.
The service inside of the church will be from 7pm-8pm.
We will sing, hear readings and light candles together, in honor of our Christ.
All are welcome! *Please note we will not be having a service on New Years Eve.
3 IN 1// Tomorrow nights service we light the candle of joy, hear the teaching from Caleb and celebrate the end of this year with baked goods made with love by this community. Ok, maybe some is baked with competitive motivations instead of love, but it’ll still taste good.

“For You will not abandon my soul to Sheol; Nor will You allow Your Holy One to undergo decay. You will make known to me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forever,”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭16:10-11‬. Today in the church calendar we remember Joseph of Arimathea, who took and prepared the body of Christ for burial. This August, take time to visit the Cloisters Museum in NYC to stand beneath this crucifix and consider the body represented before you. Perhaps imagine what it would have been like for Joseph to handle the body of the Messiah after his death. Meditating on Psalm 16, consider the good inheritance Jesus' death has purchased for us. Our lines have fallen in pleasant places. Thanks be to God!

This poem by Mary Oliver echoes the ancient wisdom of Christ's words: "Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life? Consider how the wild flowers grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these," (Lk. 12:25,27). Meditations like these interrupt our standards and question the common assumptions we live by. What does Jesus have to teach us about flourishing? What happens when we let go of the anxieties of tomorrow?

Quiet tick-tock can soothe or lull into frenzy.
"Where did the time go?"
"What am I doing with my life?"
"How am I going to get this done in time!?"
•
Stop. Breathe. Listen.
•
Those clicks of time passing are gifts, each a moment that we have a choice how to spend.
We can hustle with joy or worry, entertain with growing friendships or escapism, invest in screens or the unseen people who live around us.
•
Each day of 86400 moments can be filled with choices of contentment, diligently doing your work for the glory of Someone so much more important than your boss, speaking well of your fellow human, seeking to include the awkward and lonely.
The funny thing is when we do this, there seems to be so much more life in our clock's time.

O A S I S / /
Where do you find your rest? Do you create clear calendar moments where you can stop? Places where gratitude and contentment can take root in your life and shape how you see the world and your role in it.
•
"Come to me all who are weary and I will give you rest." - Jesus.
•
Sometimes we need to pause just to take that all in.
