Sunday Gathering at St. Paul's

  • St Paul's 315 West 22nd Street New York, NY, 10011 United States (map)

Every day as we walk through the city we are being deeply formed by our world. Media, marketing, entertainment, and many other forces have a significant impact in shaping our vision and values. When we gather for Christian worship, it gives us an opportunity to reframe our vision and reform our hearts into the kinds of people God invites us to be. We see our Sunday worship gatherings as counter vision and counter formation to renew our minds and hearts for the kingdom of God.

Our gatherings last for approximately an hour and half. The four pillars of our gathering are song, Scripture, sacrament and Spirit. We have times of worship both ancient and modern, Christ-centered teaching from the Scriptures, a weekly celebration of communion [the Eucharist] and a time of prayer and ministry for the Spirit to manifest in our hearts and lives. We have people from all faith and life backgrounds, and people have commented that our gatherings resonate with spiritual seekers and skeptics, as well as those who are mature in their faith. There are opportunities for coffee and connection before and after the gatherings, and easy ways to connect into the heart and life of our community. We are a church community rooted in the historic Christian tradition and passionate about helping people follow Jesus in the city we love and call our home.
