We’re excited to hear on Sunday from our Elder, Brendan Mahar teaching on our ‘Awake my Soul’ summer series! Join us as Brendan dives into the rhythms of a restored soul. . Brendan’s been with us at TGC Chelsea for 10 years- we’re so grateful for his faithful presence and leadership! . Brendan is Navigators’s New York University’s Campus Director, and been involved in the Navigators since his freshman year of college. Brendan grew up across the US, London, and Australia and graduated from Marymount Manhattan in 2011. Brendan’s married to Rachel, living in Harlem, and share passions of art, history, philosophy, and Settlers of Catan.
Grateful for time with our leaders on Sunday, celebrating this year so far, and anticipating the future of what God has in store for this community. . We’re so thankful for our Ministry leaders, Staff, Small group Leaders, Deacons, Elders and Trustees for loving so well and self sacrificially as Christ encouraged. You have each served faithfully, chosen and re-chosen many times to invest much of your life, gifts and time into nurturing this faith community. We’re so grateful for each of you, and excited for what the next half of the year will bring!
Join us Sunday to welcome and hear Kara Kim teach on our new sermon series- Awake the Soul! . Kara Kim is a spiritual director and co-pastors a new Vineyard church plant called The166 in Manhattan. She is also one of the co-founders of Coram Deo, a house of prayer, worship and entrepreneurship based in midtown Manhattan. . She has an MSW and has previously worked with survivors of domestic violence and sex trafficking. She worked as the Program Manager at Restore NYC and implemented its first aftercare program to serve foreign-nationals who were trafficked into NYC. She and her husband John Kim live in the heart of Manhattan with their son, Samuel. . We loved spending unhurried time together this week at our beautiful First Tuesday Feast summer picnic ✨Thanks for coming out! We can’t wait for next fellowship and community picnic on August 6th.
